Arclin Announces Its New Green Trademark, E-Gen®
08 February 2008
MISSISSAUGA, ON (February 8, 2008) - Arclin, a leading provider of bonding and surfacing solutions, unveiled their E-Gen® designation today, establishing an environmentally sustainable standard for their business and creating stringent performance-based criteria for an array of their products.
For more than 15 years, Arclin has formally been incorporating sustainable business practices into their everyday processes, such as sourcing raw paper that comes from sustainable forestry practices for the manufacture of overlays. In 2007, Arclin expanded their internal dedication to sustainable practices to include their customers‘ businesses as well. E-Gen evolved from this program, and is now the designation for a new generation of products that conscientiously reduce environmental impact.
Arclin‘s products receive the E-Gen designation based on their ability to: 1) minimize impact on the environment, 2) meet tough new industry requirements, and/or 3) receive third party certifications. Arclin applies innovative technology to develop sustainable products that meet their customers‘ needs, including:
- Low-emitting resins for composite panels
- Thermally Fused Laminates that are GREENGUARD for Children & Schools certified
- Concrete forming panels that reduce jobsite waste and use of natural resources
- Alternative adhesive systems for composite panels requiring LEED compliance
“Arclin‘s E-Gen products give customers greater opportunities to expand their businesses and pursue new markets by partnering with a supplier of low-emitting and environmentally sustainable engineered bonding and surfacing solutions,” says Arclin CEO and President, Garry McClean. “More than ever, our customers are looking for environmentally and economically sustainable options and Arclin is committed to meeting these needs with our E-Gen products and processes.”
Arclin E-Gen designated resins and overlays offer manufacturers the sense of well-being that comes from using Arclin‘s most technically advanced and eco-responsible products. E-Gen allows them to pursue markets previously off limits due to increased environmental restrictions. Additionally, builders, architects, designers and contractors now have the opportunity to qualify for various environmental certifications, such as the LEED rating system.
